Not Receiving Emails – MX Record and Nameservers are NOT Pointing to Fasthosts

NOTE: Domain name is registered with Fasthosts but the Nameservers are not with us.

Our sincerest apology for this inconvenience. We have checked on the domain name XXXXXXXXX and the main reason you are not receive emails or you are getting an error message when sending an email to any email address under the domain name is that the MX record (email server) is not pointing to us.

To resolve this, you need to contact your Nameservers providerĀ ( XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ) and ask them to point back the MX record of the domain name to us. The Nameservers mentioned above are owned by XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Since the domain name is notĀ  pointing to our Nameservers, even though the domain name is registered with us, all the advanced DNS settings ( MX record, A record, Cname and etc.) will be disabled. That is why you need to ask your Nameservers provider to configure this for you. Once this is done, please give it within 24 – 48 hours for the emails to start working.

Our MX record IP address is 213.171.216.114 or smtp-in-114.livemail.co.uk. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let us know.
